Mardi Himal Trek - 14 Days

The Mardi Himal (5,587m) trek passing through many traditional villages against the backdrop of the snow-clad mountains let you explore the lifestyle, and culture of the ethnic inhabitants in the Annapurna region. To the most, the off-the-beaten trekking trails offers fabulous mountain scenery of Machhapuchre (6,988m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Mt. Annapurna (8,091m), Mt. Annapurna II (7,937m), Mt. Annapurna III (7,555n), Mt. Hiunchuli (6,441m), and Mardi Himal range.

Day 1
1 Hours

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)
On arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our airport representative. After the completion of immigration formalities, you will be transferred to your hotel. Depending on your choice, you can either visit our office site where you can meet your trekking guide or stroll around the streets of Thamel - a tourist hub in Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2

Kathmandu - Pokhara Drive (8,23m): 5 - 6 hrs
The morning scenic bus drive departs for one of the popular and natural landmarks of Nepal – the lake city of Pokhara. The journey will be accompanied by greeneries and mid hill villages in between. Apart from tremendous lakes, Pokhara is also popular for trekking junction as the lake city unfolds different trekking routes in the Annapurna region. In Pokhara you make a short sightseeing tour of famous landmarks of Pokhara with your guide. Overnight in Pokhara. (B)

Day 3
6 Hours

Pokhara - Phedi Drive and Phedi - Deurali Trek (2,100m): 5 - 6 hrs
The morning drive at first brings you at Phedi – the starting point of the trekking section of this trip. From Phedi, you will trek through a steeply climbing trail to reach at Dampus. The first section of the trek passes through terraced fields, settlements and forests to arrive at Dampus-a fantastic point for seeing superb views of Annapurna range and Mt. Fishtail. After enjoying the mountain views you will trek froth to reach at Deurali.  Overnight at Deurali. (BLD)

Day 4
6 Hours

Deurali - Forest camp (2,500m): 5 - 6 hrs
This section of the trail passes through the forest of birch, rhododendron, mountain oak, hemlock, and other several types of vegetation along with some extinct animals in the region. The undulating trail passing through the forest of rich Himalayan flora and fauna at first climbs up to a ridge and then steeply drops down and again gradually gains height to reach at the Forest Camp. Day 5
5 Hours

Forest camp - Humal (3,150m): 4 - 5 hrs
This trip will be another tremendous journey as you today pass through extremely diverse flora and fauna of Annapurna region. While again passing through the forested trail from the Forest Camp will arrive at Humal within around four to five hours. The moment you arrive at today’s overnight destination, Humal greets you with captivating views of Fishtail mountain, Mardi himal, Annapurna-III, Annapurna south and Hiunchuli. Overnight at Humal. Day 6
6 Hours

Humal - Guhe (4,100m): 5 - 6 hrs
Today walking for a while you can get rid of the forested trail. After ending the forested section of the trip, you will follow a steeply climbing trail over the rough surface. After ending the climbing section, you will pass through a grassy trail to arrive at High Camp (3,750m) of Mardi Himal. The high camp is located at the top of a ridge and it is itself a brown pasture open land. From the High camp, the continuous trail brings you at Guhe. Overnight at Guhe. (BLD)

Day 7
7 Hours

Guhe - Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m) - Guhe: 6 - 7 hrs
Today you will walk through the open brown pasture lands to arrive at the climax of this trip and that is the base camp of Mardi Himal. Upon arriving at the base camp of the peak you can see spectacular fresco of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhare, Hiunchuli, Annapurna I to IV, Gangapurna, Singu Chuhi, Tent Peak, Mardi Himal, Lamjung Himal, Manslu and Dhaulagiri. If time permits today you can hike up to the highland of Mardi Himal. Otherwise, spending couple of hours at the base camp, you will trek down to Gho. Overnight at Guhe. (BLD)

Day 8
7 Hours

Guhe - Siding Village (1,280m): 6 - 7 hrs
This section of the trek really gives you the true essence of this whole trip that is the experience of homestay trekking in Nepal. Hence, wake up early in the morning and march towards High Camp to capture the precious sunrise view. From the high camp onward the trip catches a steeply descending but different trail to arrive at Siding - a local traditional village on the route.  After arriving at Siding, prepare to experience the true meaning of homestay in Nepalese village. The village is inhabited with Tamang, Gurung, Khas and Brahmins. Most of the houses are stone paved roof in traditional architect. In the evening today you will share the taste of true Nepali traditional kitchen by staying at the home of local villager. Beside cultural interaction, the homestay also provides you the chance of tasting local food, getting local hospitality, discovering local village life, and to the most the chance of interaction with the locals. It will be awesome the moment you eat Nepali Dal Bhat with the family in the traditional kitchen of local villagers. (BLD)

Day 9

Sedding - Mardi Pul (1,160m): 5 - 6 hrs
Again it will be tremendously pleasant walk as you pass through the Tamang and Gurung villages enjoying the panoramic beauty of nature across the terraced field trails. The pleasant trek eventually lands you at Mardi Pul where you can again enjoy the taste of homestay. Overnight at Mardi Pul. (BLD)

Day 10
6 Hours

Mardi Pul - Bamboo - Thulo Chaur (1,600m): 5 - 6 hrs
This section of the trip following through a slightly climbing trail brings you at Thulo Chaur. In between the trail you will come across Bamboo. Overnight at Thulo Chaur. (BLD)

Day 11

Thulo Chaur - Ghachok (1,150m): 5 - 6 hrs
Today again you will follow a pleasant trail enjoying mountain views, traditional villages and beauty of nature. Trekking around six hours from Thulo Chaur brings you at Ghachok. Overnight at Ghachok. (BLD)

Day 12
4 Hours

13: Ghachok - Pokhara : 3 - 4 hrs
Today trekking around three to four hours brings you Pokhara where you can visit around the landmarks of Pokhara. The Pokhara excursion includes visiting to the lakes, caves, falls, temples and markets around Pokhara valley during the leisure time. You can even enjoy boating over Phewa lake, and explore the mountaineering museum. In the evening, you roam around the streets of Lakeside – the tourist capital in Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara. Day 13

Pokhara - Kathmandu Drive: 5 - 6 hrs
Today the scenic bus drive passes through the green countryside of mid hills of Nepal. The bus journey heading to Kathmandu at first departs Pokhara Valley. Then the bus route goes through along the Marsyangdi River in the second place and Mugling onwards you will travel along the bank of Trisuli River. In between the journey offers you the distance mountain views.  After reaching in Kathmandu you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu. (B)

Day 14

Departure from Nepal
The Mardi Himal trek in the Annapurna Himalaya region collecting the memorable experience of homestay in the Nepalese villages formally ends today. Hence, before 3 hours of scheduled flight our representatives will take you to the airport. On your way to home, we hope, you will have plenty of time to plan your next adventure trip in the Himalayas. Or you can extend your Nepal stay for few more days. (B)

        • 59-21 days before departure               : 50% of cost of services booked
        • Less than 21 days before departure  : 100% of cost of services booked

    Your refund request will be answered and processed as soon as possible. If you do not receive the reply within 24 hours, please call the office immediately. Payment will be done via any means preferred by you.
