Sikles Trekking

Siklis Trekking is an ideal trekking destination for all types of people from families, collage students to corporate groups. We have beautiful sights of mid hill region into the lab of Annapurna Himalaya range. We don’t need to worry for the altitude sickness on this trip as we will just reach into (2550 m-8,366 ft) maximum.

Siklis Trekking is different from other treks in Annapurna region. We will walk through friendly traditional villages in the land of the legendary Gurung, Brahaman and Chatri tribe. Trekking into Siklis area offers awesome panoramas of Annapurna I (8,091 m-26,545 ft) Annapurna South (7,219 m-23,694 ft), Gangapurna (7,455 m-24,457 ft) and Annapurna III (7,555 m-24,787 ft), including to Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fish-tail) at 6,997 m-22,956 ft stretches up towards 08th Mt. Manaslu at 8,163 m-26,781 ft with more peaks across the horizon along with the giant whale shaped Lamjung Himal at 6, 931 meters high. 

This trek visits hidden areas with great sights of serene forests, traditional villages, local livelihood and the towering mountains. Siklis village is in the lovely place where we have couple of nights to explore and enjoy. We will descend by another route on our return journey following the river Mardi.

We begin this wonderful trek with scenic drive through Pokhara valley, and starts a climb to Khairpani (1,370 m-4,494 ft), Ghale Kharka 1 (810m-2,657 ft) and to Nauli Kharka (2,550 m-8,366 ft), the highest spot of this trek located in the midst of enchanting forest of rhododendron, pines and oaks trees. The highlight of the trip comes once we reach to our main destination at Siklis village at (2,030 m-6,660 ft), It is a mid hill traditional Gurung village located beneath the massif whale shaped Lamjung Himal. We will explore and interact with villagers. We conclude this amazing trek with a drive to Pokhara valley or Kathmandu. 

Day 1
1 Hours

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Our representative will come to the airport for transfer to the Hotel. After some refreshment in the hotel, Our Tour leader will conduct a pre departure meeting in the Hotel or at our office. The meetings will covers trip related information & the collecting your Documents (passport copy, 2 passport size photos, Travel insurance copy).

Day 02:   Kathmandu: Free day for Trek preparation
Breakfast, free day for trek preparation. You can do your own activities OR, you can do sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley with visiting fascinating world heritage and cultural sites. There are few places that are worth to visit such as Hindus holy Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Durbar Squire ( One is in Kathmandu, in patan and also in Bhaktapur), Museum,  monasteries, old historical Palaces and Gardens. Note:  this tour is optional so you can visit with place of your interest & pay locally. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (950 m-3,116 ft) – 06 hrs journey distance 220 k.m.
Our guide will come to the Hotel and start drive on the busy road through Himalayan foothills and green valley’s to reach Pokhara and some refreshment by the lake side and Phewa lake. Meals included: Breakfast

(For people with flying option with extra cost, 30 minutes of scenic flight to Pokhara).

Day 04: Drive to Mardipul and trek to Khairpani (1,370 m-4,494 ft) – 05 hrs.
Start this wonderful trek with short drive on the outskirts of Pokhara through farm villages and towns with scenic landscapes and of snow capped mountains along the way. Take-in the stunning views of Annapurna and Mt. Machhapuchare “Fish Tail peak”. Trek continues following Seti River upstream, passing rural farm village Lhachok and Ghachok villages. It is lovely farm areas with well cultivated terraces and farm fields. We will reach Khairpani after few downs and more ups reach the overnight at small village. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 05: Trek to Ghale- Kharaka (1, 810 m-2,657 ft) – 05 hrs. 
From here on-wards the temperature drops with cooler, fresh mountain air. Morning walk starts with views of the Annapurna Mountains. We will be heads heading towards North East, trek continues with a climb on paved stone steps with great views of snow capped mountains. Reach the nice village of Chyanglung. Walk towards Sardi Khola with short downhill and step-up into farm fields to reach at Ghale Kharka for overnight. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner 

Day 06: Trek to Siklis (2,030 m-6,660 ft) – 08 hrs. 
It is longer walking day today, as we will be heading to the highest point of this trek at Nauli Kharka at 2,550 m-8,366 ft altitude. The nice, pleasant and scenic walk is a much up uphill climb through mix dense forest with full of rhododendron and pines trees. View Annapurna and Lamjung Himal. There are magnificent view from the ridge separating the valley of Seti and Mardi Rivers. This serene wilderness is a nice area with lush vegetation an ideal place for botany students and bird watchers. Climb to a hill top at about 2,650 m-8694 ft. Follow hill ridge and to reach at Nauli Kharka. Trek continues on a downhill path towards the Mardi River to cross a bridge. Make a steep long climb for a few hours.  Once on the top of the hill, take a slow downhill and winding path reaching Siklis village our destination of this trip. Siklis is one of the largest Gurung village around eastern Annapurna and Lamjung region. It sits beneath the towering whale shaped Lamjung Himal. The many men here have a long history of enlisting in the Gorkha Regiment in the British Army. The people from here are mostly farmers and Sheppard’s by profession and are of the Buddhist religion. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner 

Day 07: Rest day at Siklis for local excursion. 
We have spare day here to explore Siklis, as it is ideal spot for local excursion: explore the village and interact among the local people. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner 

Day 08: Trek and drive back to Pokhara (820 m-2,690 ft) – 06 hrs.
After a great enjoyable time at Siklis village our trek coming back to Pokhara and a short drive back to Hotel in Pokhara. The drive on the recently constructed dirt jeep track through farm villages and fields, and slowly reaches the northern suburb of Pokhara city, where the drive is smooth all the way to the hotel by the Phewa lake side. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu (1300 m-4,293 ft).
We will be driving back to Kathmandu for 6 hours and some time to get back to refresh in kathmandu.
(For those who wish to fly with extra cost to Kathmandu transfer to Pokhara airport with 30 minutes of scenic flight to Kathmandu). Meals included: Breakfast

Day 10: Departure:
Breakfast in the Hotel, Transfer to Tribhuvan International airport for  departure towards your next destination. Meals included: Breakfast
