OVERVIEW

Tsum Valley Trekking is newly opened trekking trail through the striking valleys lies under the majestic of Ganesh and Sringi Himal. There is approx. 4000 people inhabitant in the Tsum Valley with the aboriginal tribal group known as “Tsumbas”. Exactly “Tsum” means vibrant. The local people in Tsum valley are mostly from Tibetan origin and speak distinctive language. The routes are spotted with creative chortens and lined with Mani walls made of thousands of stone portions carved with drawings of deities and decorated with prayers. Chortens are Buddhist religious monuments, also known as stupas, which are distinct features in Tsum Valley.

We start through the Manaslu trekking route with following Budi Gandaki River and once we are at Manaslu Conservation Area we will gradually climb.

Shear Khola draws off the valley which starts off from the western glacier of Ganesh Himal and east-southern glaciers of Sringi Himal that meets the Budhi Gandaki at Nyak. Furthermore, the valley is distinctively rich in wildlife, particularly the Himalayan Thar, Monkeys and Blue Sheep. The valley also shows off some exclusive and historic monasteries, including Rachen Gumba and Mu Gumba, which lie on an appealing flat terrain situated in the lap of the valley, and another Gumba Lungdang is located at the base of a narrowed hill alongside the major incline of Ganesh Himal.
