Kathmandu Rim Trekking

Kathmandu Rim trekking is short and scenic trek which is one of the fascinating trek near to Kathmandu valley. This trek has many variations of landscape & picturesque scenic view from Hill station at Chisapani, Nagarkot and Dhulikhel. 

Kathmandu Rim Trekking offers a combination of fantastic views of high snow capped peaks from Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal in the west and Langtang, Jugal Himal towards the north and the centrally located Gaurishankar, Melungtse and the world highest Mount Everest on the far eastern horizon from view tower of Nagarkot. This trek offers an opportunity to observe rural and traditional farm villages in the mid hills with impressive culture and customs. This is an impressive trekking trail to experience village life, countryside farm and a cool pristine enchanting forested area full of rhododendron, pines, magnolia and oaks trees.

Kathmandu Rim Trekking is also highlighted to explore the villages enriched with ancient culture and varied tradition. This scenic trekking starts from Sundarijal north east of Kathmandu. Trek through shivapuri forest and get to Chisapani, we have a gentle walking day to Nagarkot with beautiful villages and local livelihood. Nagarkot is a magnificent view point to see the panoramic Himalaya together with sunrise and sun set. 

Day 1
1 Hours
Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Our representative will come to the airport for transfer to the Hotel. After some refreshment in the hotel, Our Tour leader will conduct a pre departure meeting in the Hotel or at our office. The meeting will covers trip related information & the collecting your Documents (passport copy, 2 passport size photos, Travel insurance copy).

Day 2
4 Hours

Drive to Sundarijal and trek to Chisapani (2,340 m-7,677 ft) – 04 hrs.

This marvelous cultural and scenic journey starts with a short one hour drive to the eastern suburb of Kathmandu valley, Sundarijal.  Sundarijal is located  15 k.m from Kathmandu city. The trek begins with an uphill walk passing many small farm villages with beautiful waterfalls. Reach the entrance of Shivapuri National Park and begin to walking into Shivapuri reserved forest through the rhododendron, pines and oaks forest before reaching into the ridge of the forest.  Here the air is cooler bring situated at 2,340 m-7,766 ft. It overlooks a grand vista of Annapurna-Manaslu-Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal towards the Jugal Himal range. We have about an hour descending to reach Chisapani for overnight stop.

Day 3
6 Hours

Trek to Nagarkot (2,100 m-6,889 ft) – 06 hrs.

Start early to catch the stunning sunrise over array of snow capped peaks. Take a pleasant walk on a gradual winding wider trail through an enchanting forested area in a peaceful surrounding. And descend to Chowki-bhanjyang, a small farm village, and mid way point to Nagarkot.

After a pleasant stop walk on a gradual winding path through farm terraces and villages, once reaching at Jarsing Pawa (1,700 m–5,557 ft), we have a gentle ascending to one of the most touristic spots Nagarkot hill station, a small town that offers grand vista of mountain. Nagarkot is located at an elevation of 2,100 m–6,889 ft and is famous for stunning sunrises and sunset views reflecting its light on a range of snow capped mountains from Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang-Jugal Himal, Mt. Gauri Shanker and all the way to the eastern horizon towards Everest region. 

Day 4
6 Hours

Trek to Changu Narayan via View tower in Nagarkot – 06 hrs.

We hike to the View tower in the morning and descending to Changu narayan through the villages. Drive to Kathmandu and overnight. Farewell Dinner

Day 5
2 Hours

Departure Transfer .

Breakfast, We will transfer to Tribhuvan International airport for departing from Nepal.

     –       3 Star Hotel accommodations in Kathmandu, Hotel in Nagarkot.
    –        Private room Guest house in Chisapani.

    Free cancellation up to 50 days prior departure, 50% of deposit will be refunds 30 days prior to departure after which the deposit becomes non-refundable.


    We are happy to refund and transfer your deposit amount of advance payment after your tour cancellation under the goodwill of our Cancellation policy. However we won't take responsible for Bank Transfer fee, if it has applied.
