Langtang Valley Trek - 10 Days

Langtang Valley Trek, one of the pleasant walks in the Himalayas, takes you to the Valley of Glacier in the beautiful Himalaya region of Langtang. During the journey you trek through the alpine meadows and yak pastures, majestic waterfalls, and the magnificent forests of the Langtang Valley. The pleasant walk will be supported by panoramic views of Langtang-Ri, Langsisa Ri, Langtang Himal, Ganjala Peak. Reaching at the ultimate destination, the Langtang Valley, you experience the unique cultural practice influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. In closely observing the landmarks of Langtang region: panoramic Himalayan views, diverse flora and fauna, innocent people, Tibetan influenced culture, and magnificent monasteries you attain unbeatable trekking experience.

Day 1
1 Hours

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m)
On arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our airport representative. After the completion of immigration formalities, you will be transferred to your hotel. Depending on your choice, you can either take leisure rest of the day or visit our office site where you can meet with your tour guide or stroll around the streets of Thamel - a tourist hub in Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2
7 Hours

Kathmandu - Syabrubesi Drive (1,550m): 6 - 7 hrs
After breakfast, the journey today takes the direction towards the north-western hills of Kathmandu valley. The forthcoming spectacular route passes through the terraced fields and rustic villages enjoying the company of a superb panorama of the Himalayan Range, including the Annapurnas, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal. While traversing through the villages like Trishuli Bazar and Dhunche you will be ultimately connected with Syabrubesi. Overnight at Syabrubesi. (BLD)

Day 3
6 Hours

Syabrubesi - Lama Hotel Trek (2,380m): 5 - 6 hrs
The journey today introduces you the trekking section of the trip. The undulating mountain trail initially follows the Langtang Khola. On the trail ahead the trek passes through the dense forest, crosses several suspension bridges and encounters with tea houses. While enjoying the rich flora and fauna on the continuous journey, you will ultimately reach at your overnight destination. Overnight at Lama Hotel. (BLD)

Day 4
7 Hours

Lama Hotel - Langtang Village (3,430m): 6 - 7 hrs
This section of the climbing trail is also full of dense forest in the initial phase and upon arriving at Ghora Tabela (3,000m) your journey comes out from the forest. On the continuous climbing journey, you will have occasional glimpse of marvelous Langtang Lirung. The more the trail climbs forth you find high pastures, see traditional water mills, pass by a monastery, and observe widening up valley. The scenic trek eventually connects you with Langtang Village - the headquarters of the Langtang National Park. The beautiful village and surrounding areas are full of flat-roofed Tibetan style houses. Overnight at Langtang Village. (BLD)

Day 5
4 Hours

Langtang Village - Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m): 3 - 4 hrs
The short trek today passes through small villages, yak pastures, and the largest Mani Wall in Nepal. As you move forth the valley become more open and the surrounding views become more extensive. After crossing several suspension bridges, small streams and moraines, the trail today finally connects you with Kyanjin – a small settlement with a small monastery and a government-operated cheese factory. The site of Kyanjin Gompa is so dramatic that you will find surrounded by snow covered Himalayan peaks in all directions.  Besides, you can also stroll around the site to explore surrounding views full of glaciers, icefalls, birds and yaks.  Overnight at Kyanjin.  (BLD)

Day 6
4 Hours

Rest day in Kyangjin
We have set aside a rest day to explore the tremendous treasures of Kyangjin. Hence, at first you visit at the monastery and the cheese factory at Kyangjin. If you are a cheese fanatic then it will be boon for you – eat or bring as much as you like. Then you walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung and even ascend Kyangjin Ri (4,350m) which is situated directly behind the village. The summit of Kyangjin Ri offers you a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks. Overnight at Kyanjin.  (BLD)

Day 7
6 Hours

 Kyangjin - Tserko Ri - Lama Hotel: 5 - 6 hrs   
It will be another big day for you as you are heading for climbing Tserko Ri (5,000m). The early morning trek brings you at the summit of Tserko Ri from where you can see marvelous mountain sunrise views. After enjoying the sunrise views, you retrace back to Lama Hotel. In between, the downhill trail at times passes through forest and crosses river. Another charm of the descending trail is that you pass through the ethnic Tamang settlements whose religious and cultural practices are similar to the Tibetans. Overnight at Lama Hotel. (BLD)

Day 8
5 Hours

Lama Hotel - Syabrubesi: 4 -5 hrs   
Today’s descending trail too passes through lush green vegetation of the region. The five hours descending trek towards Syabrubesi is comparatively easy. After arriving at Syabrubesi, you say goodbye to the fantastic mountain trails of Nepal and prepare for bur drive to Kathmandu in the forthcoming day ahead. Overnight at Syabrubesi. (BLD)

Day 9
7 Hours

Syabrubesi - Kathmandu Drive : 6 - 7 hrs
The spectacular route today passes through the terraced fields and rural villages enjoying the company of a superb panorama of the Himalayan Range, including the Annapurnas, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal. On your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. In the rest of the time, either you can stroll around the streets of Thamel to catch the last minute souvenir shopping opportunity or explore any sights you missed during your first day in Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu. (BL)

Day 10

Departure from Nepal
The 10 days Langtang Valley Trek comes to end today. Before 3 hours of scheduled flight, Himalayan Pleasure's representatives will take you to airport. On your way to home, we hope, you will have plenty of time to plan your next trip in the Himalayas. Or you can extend your Nepal stay for few more days. (B)

        • 60 days or more before departure      : Loss of deposit
        • 59-21 days before departure               : 50% of cost of services booked
        • Less than 21 days before departure  : 100% of cost of services booked

    Your refund request will be answered and processed as soon as possible. If you do not receive the reply within 24 hours, please call the office immediately. Payment will be done via any means preferred by you.
