Naar Phu Trekking begins through high mid green, mid slopes towns occupied by a few ethnic gatherings together with Gurung and Magar tribes. After an extraordinary time around Nar and Phu towns our adventure proceeds over the high Kang-la go at 5,306 m-17,408 ft to achieve the lower Manang valley at Manang town, with gigantic perspectives of encompassing along the climbing.

Subsequent to being very much acclimatized head higher into treeless ice landscape to achieve the most astounding purpose of this trek at Thorang-la 5,416 m-17,700 ft with a wonderful beautiful display that encompasses this picturesque blustery spot. At Pokhara wonder about the excellence of snow topped pinnacles and appreciate the watercraft ride at peaceful Phewa Lake. Drive or fly back to Kathmandu.

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Our representative will come to the airport for transfer to the Hotel. After some refreshment in the hotel, Our Tour leader will conduct a pre departure meeting in the Hotel or at our office. The meetings will covers trip related information & the collecting your Documents (passport copy, 2 passport size photos, Travel insurance copy).

Day 2

Kathmandu: Free day for Trek preparation
Breakfast, free day for trek preparation. You can do your own activities OR, you can do sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley with visiting fascinating world heritage and cultural sites. There are few places that are worth to visit such as Hindus holy Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Durbar Squire ( One is in Kathmandu, in patan and also in Bhaktapur), Museum,  monasteries, old historical Palaces and Gardens. Note:  this tour is optional so you can visit with place of your interest & pay locally. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 3

Drive to Syange via Beshishar – 08 hrs journeys.
Start driving from the hotel in the interesting busy highway road towards Syange via Beshishar through the Himalayan foothills and green valley’s till Dumre, and leaving the main Kathmandu / Pokhara highway towards Beshisar a large town and headquarter of Lamjung district, from here driving on the newly built dirt road leading to Syange via Khudi, Bhulbhule and Ngadi following the Marsyangdi River upstream, the drive continues passing rice terraces and villages and then uphill on leaving the Marsyangdi River to reach at Chamje for overnight.

Day 4

Trek to Dharapani (1,920 m-6,299 ft) – 05 hours.
After a first night in local lodge with homely hospitality service, morning starts walking back to Marsyangdi River crossing and in the alpine woodlands reach into Tal Besi, after having a break, few more hours to reach Dharapani village for overnight 

Day 5
5 Hours
Trek to Koto (2,600 m-8,530 ft),(1,560 m-5,118 ft) – 05 hours.
From Dharapani on wards the temperature gets cooler with alpine temperature. Walk through the winding wide trail through serene rhododendron, pine woodland and through small villages of Bagachap, Danque. Climb higher to Timang village with super views of snow capped peaks towards North. From this village on-wards be in the land of Buddhist tradition and culture. After an hour or so,  reach Koto near Chame a large town and the district headquarter of Manang area.

Day 6
6 Hours
Trek to Meta (3,560 m-11,680 ft),(1,560 m-5,118 ft) – 06 hrs
A different feeling from here onward occurs in that we are in the least trekked area. We are away from the main trail. Walk north to the remote places entering a gorge between Pisang Peak and Kang-Guru Himal.  The path leads to Nar-Phu khola upstream, passing several spread out farm huts and sheds all the way to Meta or Methang for overnight stop

Day 7
6 Hours
Trek to Kyang (4,100 m-13,451 ft) – 06 hrs.
From here, feeling great with fresh, clean mountain air being in this isolated area, walk north to Phu area in pure wilderness. There is a great chance of seeing Blue Sheep, Snow Leopard and other mountain wild life.
Walk  past number of Sheppard’s areas while following the Phu khola (stream) upstream to Kyang for overnight stop after a scenic good walk.


Day 8

Trek to Phu (4,580 m-15,026 ft) – 05 hrs.
Morning trek reaches our destination at Phu following the Phu khola upstream. The walk leads to an exposed open area as the valley opens. After a good walk through grazing and pasture lands, reach  Phu, our overnight stop and highlights of this trip.

Day 9

At Phu visit Samdu Choling and Tashi Monastery.
Phy is a great and ideal place for rest day to properly acclimatize and to explore a medieval types village which is of strong Tibetan influence in the daily life, culture and Buddhist religion. Take an optional short hike around this amazing little Shangri-la. Visit the monasteries of Tashilkhang and Samducholing full of ancient artifacts and statues and maybe even visit the Kyauchyu water fall.

Day 10

Trek from Phu to Lower Cheyako (3,450 m-11,319 ft)- 05 hrs.
After a memorable experience at Phu, walk on the same route to retrace the journey for few hours to lower Cheyako through Kyang and upper Chyyako following the Phu khola downstream to reach at Cheyako a small village on route Phu and Naar.

Day 11

Trek to Naar (4,110 m-13,484 ft) – 05 hrs.
Walk back on the same trail for some time to a bridge called Mahindra Pul (bridge) close to Naar Phedi. From here trek for few hours towards a hidden Himalayan Shangrila village at Naar, the highest village around Manang area. Walk past Yughat and its line of mani walls and chortens, Buddhist prayer shrines. This experience is another highlight of this amazing adventure along with being in the high village of Naar and Phu both villages with  age old culture and traditions similar to the Tibetan way of life.

Day 12

Trek to Kangla Phedi (43,50 m-14,271 ft) – 04 hrs.
From Naar with interesting time, our journey continues to leave the last of Naar and Phu area heading towards a high pass of Kangla to reach our return trek to Jomsom from Manang on wards. Walk  past a small hydro project, and finally reach the last villages of this high Manang valley: Naar and Phu at Kang-la Phedi (bottom of the pass) for an overnight stop and lunch and with a free afternoon  to explore this wild area.

Day 13

Trek to Kangla Pass (5, 306 m-17,408 ft) and to Ngawal (3,660 m-12,008 ft) – 07 hrs.
Start earlier than usual to reach the top of the pass to catch ever present views of high snow capped peaks. Walk with a slow pace due to altitude. Cross a few small icy streams to reach a steep notch and then climb an hour  to the top of Kang-la pass at 5,306 m–17,408 ft the highest point so far of this trip.  Here find grand views of a snow capped peak range with a small glacial pond near the big rock wall by the west side. Reach a seep moraine path at the bottom.  The walk gets easier on the wide grass land all the way to Ngawal village for overnight stop after a scenic and vigorous day.

Day 14

Trek to Manang Village (3,450 m-11,319 ft) – 05 hrs.
In the morning take in wonderful views of snow capped peaks with a close look of A II North Face. Head towards a hill through nice pine woodland where one can catch awesome views of Manang lower valley with surrounding high snow capped mountains. Head downhill towards Manang valley. Reach Hongde village with a small airstrip, (flight to and from Pokhara is only twice a week and unpredictable). From here on wards tree line disappears into arid and barren landscapes with cold, dry climate temperature. However, the area gets enough sunshine during the day with strong UV in this thin air altitude.
From here with constant views of snow capped peaks reach Braga close to Manang village. Here it will be interesting to visit the old Braga monastery treasures old Buddhist artifacts, relics and stature with ancient amazing wall Thanka painting (Buddhist religious painting) and frescoes. Take in breathtaking views of Annapurna range with Chulus and as far to Manaslu towards east.  Take a slow and steady walk to Manang village for lunch and overnight stop with alluring views of Gangapurna, A II and Tilicho peak and turquoise Manang lake nearby.
From Pisang and at Manang houses are built in traditional Tibetan style as people of Manang practice rich Buddhism religion, culture and traditions.

Day 15

Trek to Yak Kharka (4,110 m-13,484 ft) – 04 hours.
After a nice break and stop for two nights at Manang, We ascend on the gradual path passing the last village of Manang at Tenke and then in complete wilderness with gentle uphill walk to Ghunsang village with great views of Gangapurna, Tilicho and Chulu West peaks, then slowly reaching at Yak Kharka for lunch and overnight with great views

Day 16

Trek to Thorong High Camp (4,600 m-15,091 ft) – 04 hrs.
Slowly and steady journey gets closer to the main highlights and highest elevation of this trip at Thorang-la pass, This is pleasant walking day except for the altitude the trail follows crossing a bridge after Ledar and then a short steep climb after the river reaching at Jarjung around this place chances of seeing some wildlife like Musk Deer, Himalayan Thar, Mountain Goats or the rare and elusive Snow Leopard if lucky. Walk then reaches at Thorang Phedi (base of Thorang-la), after a break here walk on the slope path which is quite steep for an hour till High Camp is reached for lunch and overnight.
A great place with super views of Gangapurna, Damodar and Bhirkuti Himal and range of snow capped peaks.

Day 17
7 Hours
Cross Thorong-La (5,416 m-17,769 ft) and to Muktinath (3,800 m-12,467 ft) – 07 hrs.
Big Day! Starting quite early after breakfast to reach the top of the pass earlier before the cold wind catches with chill factors, We will be walking in gradual ups to reach the highest point and one of the highlights at 5,416m-17,700 ft of this trip, the pass is festooned with hundreds of Buddhist prayer flags and with sign board ‘Thorang-la’ and its heights, this place with awesome views of snow capped mountains looking over West at Dhaulagiri, Mustang Himal as well.
After a great success, emotional with happy moment descend a long way to reach few tea houses into other side of the pass. With some refresh and lunch, we will head towards Muktinath for overnight after a long hard but interesting and adventurous day. There are holy temples for both Hindus and Buddhists the word Muktinath literally means ‘the place for Nirvana or Liberation’.

Day 18

Trek to Jomsom (2, 715 m-8,907 ft) – 07 hours.
After a Big long walk of previous day, today a pleasant trek on the downhill path passing by the village of Jharkot with a drop to Kaligandaki river bed, on reaching the wide Kaligandaki River valley at a small place of Ekale bhatti, continue walk on the flat wide valley for few hours reaching at Jomsom from where we will take the flight to Reach Pokhara next Morning.

Day 19
2 Hours
Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara (860 m-2,821 ft).
Transfer early in the morning to Jomsom airport for the flight to Pokhara with alluring views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri’s, Annapurna and Machhapuchhare. This wonderful flight takes less than half hour to reach at cool city Pokhara,  Enjoy the time in the afternoon to browse around the lake side stores and shops and relax in this beautiful setting. Meals included: Breakfast

Day 20
2 Hours
Drive Back to Kathmandu.
Drive by private vehicle back to Kathmandu, Transfer to respective hotels.
(For those who wish to fly to Kathmandu with an Extra cost transfer to Pokhara airport with 30 minutes of scenic flight to Kathmandu). Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 21

Breakfast in the Hotel, Transfer to Tribhuvan International airport for departure towards your next destination. Meals included: Breakfast
