OVERVIEW
Never has the phrase, ‘it is not just about the destination but the journey’ been more true.

Come face-to-face with the majestic Himalayas on this 14-day trek to Annapurna Base Camp and one of the most popular treks in the world.

Trekking along the most diverse expedition that Nepal has on offer, you will experience spectacular waterfalls, terraced farmlands, local rural villages, the famous fiery rhododendron forests with the contrasting snow-capped peaks in the Kimrong Valley and the most incredible and unrivalled views of over 30 stunning mountains across the Himalayan Ranges, once you reach the ultimate destination.

With a beautiful backdrop of massive mountain peaks, you will pass through traditional villages and rural communities that cling to the side of the valleys where life is still how it was 100 years ago. Meet the Gurung tribe - famous for being home to the Gurkha soldiers that have served in the British Army for over 200 years. Also, the Magar tribe, known as one of the oldest known tribes in Nepal who are also known for offering the most beautiful hospitality to visitors along the way. You may even get to meet some of the rarer ‘locals’– snow leopards and musk deer!

Beginning and ending in Kathmandu, you will meet your Trexmount Venture's guide and porter in Kathmandu on Day One. They’ll be with you every step of the way for the entire trip to ensure you have the best experience.

Your trip will begin with breathtaking scenery through beautiful valleys and lovely local villages on the road toNayapul(via an overnight stay in the funky town of Pokhara) where your trek will begin at 1730 metres.

Your trek ascends through Ghandruk, Chomrong, Dovan via Bamboo and on to Machhapuchhre Base Camp at 3,720 metres. The sacred mountain Machapuchare, or ‘Fish Tail’, is without a doubt the most iconic image of the region. 4095 metres above sea level and the highest point of your expedition you reach Annapurna Base Camp. Words cannot describe the awesome panorama of peaks and breathtaking scenery of the Himalayas’ massive snow-capped mountains and glaciers.

If you’re looking for an intimate and local experience with diverse experiences and even more diverse scenery, Annapurna Base Camp trek is the perfect choice. This amazing expedition offers a less physically challenging but equally impressive option for less experienced mountaineers or a truly unique experience for adventurers looking for something a little bit different.
